Our Medical Staff:
Stephen C. Lies, MD	Stephen C. Lies, MD Dr. Lies is the most experienced OB/Gyn in Wayne County, beginning practice at Wayne Women’s Clinic in 1980. He graduated from medical school and completed his Ob/Gyn training at Duke University. He is married to Kathy Lies and is the father of two married daughters, and also has a grandson and granddaughter. He is an avid golfer and well known for his humor.

John S. Welsh, Jr. MD	John S. Welsh, Jr. MD Dr. Welsh joined Wayne Women’s Clinic in 1993 after graduating from medical school and completing his Ob/Gyn training at Louisiana State University. He is married to Claire Welsh and the father of three teenage boys. He is an avid golfer and works on the Walnut Creek Town Board.

H. Peter Roethling, MD	H. Peter Roethling, MD Dr. Roethling joined Wayne Women’s Clinic in 1996 after graduating from medical school at the University of North Carolina and completing his Ob/Gyn training at the University of Louisville. He is married to Mary Battle Roethling and is the father of two daughters and a son. He enjoys competitive running, coaching soccer, and is the Chairman of the Stoney Creek Park Alliance.

C. Michael Brooks, MD	C. Michael Brooks, MD Dr. Brooks is a North Carolina native, and practiced at Kinston Obstetrical and Gynecologic Associates from 1985 until he joined Wayne Women’s Clinic this summer. He is a UNC graduate, went to medical school at Wake Forest University’s Bowman Gray School of Medicine, and did his OB/Gyn training at the University of Virginia. He is married to Susan Brooks, the father of two children, and enjoys time at the beach building boats.

Pam B. Phillips, NP	Pam B. Phillips, NP Mrs. Phillips joined Wayne Women’s Clinic in 2003 after working at Greenville Women’s Clinic from 1997 – 2003. She completed her Ob/Gyn Nurse Practitioner training at Emory University and Master's in Nursing from East Carolina University and is board certified as a women's health nurse practitioner. She is married to Jeff Phillips, and has two sons serving in the Army and a daughter-in-law who is a registered nurse. She is an avid photographer.
